Rega Planar 6
The Planar 6 is the turntable Rega launched in August 2017. It combines an ultra-light Tancast 8 foam-core plinth with HPL laminates, a dual-layer glass platter, the hand-assembled RB330 tonearm and a 24 V synchronous motor powered by the Neo PSU.

Rega sells it with a factory-fitted Nd5 or Nd7 (moving magnet) or Ania Pro (moving coil) cartridge, and without a cartridge. The Nd7 has existed since July 2024, so a Planar 6 with an Nd7 is a 2024-or-later configuration. The Neo PSU, which selects the speed and fine-tunes it, is part of the package: check that the deal includes it. The Planar 6 RS Edition, from 2026, is a separate model.
